Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Civil) to lead day-to-day EHS site management for a high‑impact Memphis construction project. You will implement and audit safety programs, focus on crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, and EPA regulations.

The role requires strong practical experience, PE certification preferred, and ability to train crews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design, development, and oversight of EHS in construction.
• Experience with crane/rigging, heavy equipment, welding and fabrication safety.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement, audit and enforce contractor EHS programs on site.
• Develop hazard assessments and PPE requirements for safety.
• Provide safety training on cranes, rigging, welding and fabrication.
• Investigate incidents and prepare root cause reports.
• Maintain EPA, RCRA, DOT compliance for projects.
