Job summary

SPACE EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGIES CORP in Memphis, TN seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Civil) to lead EHS on a high-impact construction project for a future AI supercomputer infrastructure.

You will enforce contractor EHS programs, conduct hazard assessments, and provide technical oversight for crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication safety, while training personnel and ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH and related standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design, development and oversight of EHS in construction.
• Experience with crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding and fabrication safety.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day EHS site management for a major construction project.
• Develop and audit EHS programs for contractors per OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership on hazard assessments and PPE requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding and fabrication tasks.
• Investigate incidents and write root-cause reports with corrective actions.
