Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Civil) to provide expert EHS oversight for the construction of our AI Supercomputer infrastructure, with hands-on safety in crane/rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication.

You will implement contractor EHS programs, conduct hazard assessments, enforce PPE requirements, lead training, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, RCRA, and DOT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and overseeing safety programs in construction.
• Experience with crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding and fabrication safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and audit EHS programs for construction contractors.
• Develop hazard assessments and PPE requirements.
• Provide oversight for crane and rigging safety.
• Investigate incidents and write root-cause reports.
• Educate construction personnel on safety training.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT.
• Allocate resources to safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve safety across sites.
