Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 years in environmental health and safety or related field (associate degree preferred).
• Strong knowledge of intermediate to complex EHS principles, programs, procedures, and administrative practices.
• Experience with testing, handling, and disposal of materials and hazardous items.
• Ability to administer and oversee EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support across multiple areas of operations, including testing, inspections, reporting, program administration, and related activities.
• Apply and explain EHS policies, programs, and practices while assisting staff and management with intermediate to complex questions.
• Conduct inspections of waste containers and storage areas, and coordinate waste container collection.
• Support laboratory radioactive materials program by coordinating shipments, opening radioactive materials, and conducting radiation surveys.
• Facilitate EHS training sessions and meetings for employees and leaders.
• Review and process logs, forms, documents, databases, and other EHS records.
