Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to support lab and office operations. You will coordinate and review environmental, health and safety and hazardous waste programs, maintain records, support inspections and training, and help ensure practices align with requirements.

You will apply EHS policies, assist staff with complex questions, and help ensure compliance across multiple sites while fostering a safe, respectful workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years’ experience in environmental health and safety or related field; associate degree preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced EHS knowledge and procedures.
• Experience with testing, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support across operations, including testing, inspections, reporting, and program administration.
• Explain and apply EHS policies; assist staff and management with questions.
• Inspect waste containers and storage areas; coordinate waste collection.
• Support laboratory radioactive materials program; coordinate shipments and radiation surveys.
• Lead EHS training sessions for employees and leaders.
• Review and process logs, forms, documents, and EHS records.
• Research issues and develop recommendations to address needs.
• Assist with policy/program reviews and implementation.
• Maintain compliance with laws and regulations; escalate concerns when needed.
• Contribute ideas to improve EHS services and teamwork.
