Job summary

Pace® Analytical Services in Minnesota invites an EHS Specialist to join the Consulting Services team. You will evaluate facilities for environmental, health, and safety compliance, support audits, and contribute to hazard analyses, training, and site safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–2 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or pilot-plant settings. This role is on-site and offers hourly pay.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of professional Environmental Health and Safety experience preferred.
  • Safety experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work with client to ensure compliance with facility environmental, health, and safety policies and other applicable regulatory agencies
  • Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, such as noise dosimetry and air monitoring
  • Schedule and conduct respirator fit testing for employees
  • Assist with process hazard analysis and risk analysis assessments
  • Conduct environmental, health, and safety training
  • Coordinate sitewide safety initiatives
  • Work with business to audit daily work permits and report findings to supervisors
  • Complete ergonomic assessments of process tasks
  • Other Health and Safety tasks as needed by client
  • Collect and process wastewater samples and interpret results for reporting
  • Coordinate various environmental sampling events and order and prep sampling supplies
  • Utilize air emission modeling software to track pollutant outputs
  • Assist with regulatory agency permitting processes for environmental compliance
  • Create and manage waste stream profiles for the processing of hazardous waste

Compensation: $22.00 - 28.00 per hour
