Job summary

Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous workplace safety improvements. You will handle risk assessments, training, and support the Fort Saskatchewan Path2Zero initiative toward net-zero goals.

You will lead safety standards implementation, guide plant teams on EH&S policies, and manage evaluations and reporting to ensure regulatory adherence and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing Environmental Health & Safety work processes.
• Ability to conduct root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Experience guiding EH&S policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily EH&S programs and implement safety standards.
• Ensure plant operations meet EH&S performance expectations.
• Provide guidance on EH&S policies to plant teams.
• Serve as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Coach employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Contribute to achieving plant EH&S goals.
• Oversee timely completion of compliance tasks.
• Conduct environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations and report findings.
