Job summary

Dow is seeking an EH&S Program Specialist to develop and maintain safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety at its Fort Saskatchewan operations. You will lead risk assessments and employee safety training to support operational excellence.

In this role, you will support the Path2Zero initiative, contribute to environmental health and safety compliance, and coach plant teams on safe work practices while guiding EH&S policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification: High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) or related field.
• For candidates applying in Canada, legal authorization to work in the country is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily EH&S programs by applying established safety standards.
• Ensure plant operations meet EH&S performance through best practices.
• Provide guidance on EH&S policies to plant teams.
• Serve as primary contact for environmental, industrial hygiene, and health & safety inquiries.
• Coach employees on EH&S procedures and responsibilities.
• Help develop and achieve EH&S goals for the plant.
• Oversee timely completion of compliance tasks.
• Conduct environmental and industrial hygiene evaluations and report findings.
