Job summary

GardenCore seeks an EH&S Coordinator to oversee the plant’s safety program, OSHA documentation, and safety training. You will also handle permit submissions, PPE provisioning, and data tracking for inbound/outbound materials.

This role requires coordination across administrative, production and technical staff; applicable regulatory knowledge and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent in academic background and experience/training.
• High School degree or GED required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
• Detail-oriented with a dedication to continuous improvement and team building.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentations skills.
• Ability to work with administrative, production and technical personnel to achieve goals.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Administer the plant’s Safety Program.
• Maintain all required OSHA documentation.
• Serve as Safety Committee Secretary.
• Maintain and adhere to the Plant Safety manual.
• Maintain safety records and prepare monthly safety reports.
• Assist in permit applications to regulatory agencies.
• Order and maintain PPE and first aid supplies.
• Assist plant personnel with safety training.
• Maintain employee relations policies and procedures.
• Weekly Toolbox Talks.
• Complete new hire onboarding trainings.
• Enter and maintain data in on-site data systems.
• Inspect work environments for governmental compliance.
• Observe compliance with safety precautions and equipment.
• Document findings for potential legal proceedings.
