Job summary

The role requires willingness to work a 12-hour shift (6:00am–6:00pm), maintain records, and coordinate with packaging for timely startup. Overtime and potential dairy/pasteurization experience are noted as pluses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervision.
• Must have ability to do multi-functional tasks. Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
• Dairy experience or pasteurization experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: This is a 12 hour 6:00am - 6:00pm shift.
• Operate HTST processing system and CIP system and record time, temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
• Assist in other areas of the business as needed.
• Ensure sanitation and aseptic standards are maintained to meet quality expectations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance repairs.
• Coordinate with packaging lead to ensure timely hook up and startup of production line.
• Clean silos, mix room, totes, pumps, UHT press and CIP lines.
• Monitor CIP systems and chemical concentrations to meet company and USDA standards.
• Maintain logs and required documentation for company and USDA.
• Foster open communication and maintain regular attendance.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety/quality practices.
