Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors or employees.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all tray packers and ensures proper operations (loading trays, maintaining glue volume).
• Maintains video jet; ensures cleaning, adequate liquid, correct coding, and legible print.
• Monitors shrink-wrap machine and adds film as required.
• Fill in for other packaging machine operators during breaks/vacations.
• Monitor date on master shipper for legibility and corrective actions.
• Set-up of equipment and material for a production run.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, productive work area.
• Follow GMPs and food safety standards; report unsafe conditions.
• Perform sanitation procedures as required.
• Navigate tablets to run required quality and performance checks.
