McIver Clinic in Jacksonville is seeking a Medical Appointment Scheduler to assist patients by phone and in person. You will schedule and reschedule medical appointments, collect patient information, and relay messages to staff in a fast-paced medical office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of medical office or healthcare customer service experience.
• Experience with medical scheduling is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic systems.
• Experience with EHR or medical scheduling systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of incoming calls and assist patients with scheduling medical appointments.
• Greet patients and assist with scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
• Collect and document patient demographic and insurance information.
• Contact patients regarding appointment scheduling and changes.
• Answer routine questions within the scope of the role.
• Direct calls to appropriate departments and relay messages to staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
