Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant to join our team in Mount Juliet, TN. The role accommodates both EFDA and standard DA responsibilities, with schedules that fit full-time or part-time needs.

Hourly pay ranges from 27–32 for EFDA and 22–28 for DA, based on experience and state requirements. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification required or on-the-job training per state rules.
• Radiography licensure as per state requirements.
• 1–5 years of dental assisting experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficient with MS Office and dental charting software.
• Experience with digital x-rays and related dental software.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with charting, fillings, operatory setup/cleanup and patient education.
• Perform expanded duties per state regulations and practice compliance.
• Support clinical procedures: fillings, temporary crowns, sutures removal, fluoride treatments.
• Document patient health history and update treatment plans in dental software.
• Enter and update patient treatment plans under supervision.

Seeking a talented EFDA or Dental Assistant to join our team, we are open to full time or part time, depending on what you are seeking.

Hourly Rates For Both EFDA And DA

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 27-32/an hour

Dental Assistant- Depending on experience 22-28/an hour

Smiling from Open to Close

Mon. & Tues. 8 am - 5 pm

Wed. & Thurs. 7 am - 4 pm

Fri. 7 am - 2 pm

Responsibilities

• Assists doctors which includes but is not limited to charting, placement of fillings, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Able to perform expanded duties following state regulations and compliance.
• Assists in clinical procedures and treatment such as: placing amalgam or composite fillings, adaptation of temporary crowns, removing surgical sutures, and applying topical fluoride treatments. Limitations due apply per state requirements.
• Records and reviews patient health history, makes chart entries under the doctor's direction and assures completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Enters and updates patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating

Qualifications

• EFDA Certification or on the job training required per state requirements
• Radiography licensure for respective state requirements
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
• CPR Certification is required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary
