Job summary

Centennial School District at McDonald Elementary School seeks a full-time Technology Support Specialist to ensure reliable tech for instructional programs. You will respond to help desk requests, troubleshoot district-wide technology issues, and maintain printers, copiers, and hardware.

The role requires a high school diploma or associate degree with 3-5 years in technical support, strong communication, and experience with system software/hardware.

  • 3-5 years troubleshooting system software and hardware (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots district-wide technology failures and provides help desk support, prioritizing issues by severity.
  • Maintains printers and copiers; orders supplies and schedules repairs.
  • Maintains building-wide hardware inventory.
  • Ensures licensed, authorized software only is installed on district computers.
  • Sets up, installs, troubleshoots, and configures computers, printers, and related equipment.
  • Provides technology training and user support.
  • Gives feedback to improve technology support services.
  • Supports all positions in the Technology Department.

Location: McDonald Elementary School

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Full-time with benefits

Hourly Pay: $24.31

  • High School diploma
  • Associate's degree OR experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical support and in supporting technology programs
  • 3-5 years of demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively.
  • 3-5 years of experience with troubleshooting problems with system software and hardware. (Preferred)
JOB GOAL

To ensure technical system functionality to enhance the District's operational and instructional programs.

Essential Functions
  • Troubleshoots district-wide technology failures and provides help desk support services, setting priorities to ensure most serious issues are handled promptly.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, District policies, administrative procedures, and reports suspected violations by users to supervisor.
  • Ensures high availability and functionality of district printers and copiers. Orders copier and print supplies and schedules repairs.
  • Maintains building-wide hardware inventory.
  • Ensures that the only software installed on District computers is licensed, legal software approved in accordance with District policy or administrative regulations.
  • Sets up, installs, troubleshoots, and configures computers, printers, and other equipment and software.
  • Provides technology training, hardware, and software support to users.
  • Provides feedback to improve technology support services.
  • Supports all positions in the Technology Department.
