Job summary

Vertex Education seeks an Educational Technology Support Specialist I to provide frontline support for student information systems and learning applications used by schools, staff, students, and families.

Tickets arrive via Zendesk with phone and email support; the role focuses on access, rostering, configuration, and general system questions across platforms such as PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Schoology, Clever, and publisher apps.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field.
• 1+ year providing customer service or help desk support in a ticket-based environment.
• Ability to learn new systems and platforms quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication; explain technical info to non-technical users.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve Zendesk tickets from school staff within SLA; communicate clearly to users.
• Assist with workflows across PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Schoology, Clever, and publisher apps.
• Handle data provisioning, roster corrections, and routine reporting under procedures.
• Escalate complex issues and maintain vendor coordination when needed.
• Create and maintain user guides and troubleshoot documentation; support seasonal school operations.
