Job summary

Vertex Education seeks an Educational Technology Support Specialist II to provide advanced support for student information systems and learning applications such as PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Schoology, and Clever across the organization.

You will serve as the senior escalation point, coach Specialist I staff, and help shape intake, escalation, and knowledge-base standards while steering ticket-based workflows to resolution.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field; job-related experience may substitute for education.
• Three or more years providing application support in a ticket-based environment.
• Experience troubleshooting complex, multi-system issues and coordinating resolution across users, vendors, and internal teams.
• Hands-on experience administering or configuring an enterprise application (SIS, LMS, or similar).
• Experience documenting processes and knowledge base content used by others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance hands-on ticket resolution with longer-term improvement work.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for student information systems and learning applications across the organization.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for Educational Technology Support Specialist I team members.
• Diagnose and coordinate resolution of issues affecting groups of users across campuses and integrations.
• Lead technical engagement with vendors on escalated defects and service requests.
• Onboard new applications and document configurations for the team.
