Job summary

The Math Learning Center in Oregon seeks an experienced Event Planner to bring our conferences, trade shows, and internal gatherings to life, partnering with colleagues to connect educators, customers, and the math education community. This hybrid/onsite role rotates between Portland and Salem offices with occasional national travel to support events.

You’ll manage logistics, budgets, vendor relationships, and on-site coordination to deliver engaging, impactful experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of experience planning and coordinating events; trade show experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Customer-focused and able to handle multiple priorities and changing plans.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented, with good judgment to lead when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal and external events, conferences, and trade shows.
• Build relationships with colleagues and partners to ensure clear communication and success.
• Coordinate cross-team plans to raise awareness and generate leads.
• Negotiate site locations, hotel blocks, and venue rates.
• Manage on-site event execution and run-of-show for in-person attendees.
• Monitor budgets and keep spending on track.
