Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking an Educational Aide - STEM Tutor to support Life Science students in the Science Tutoring Center. The role is 19 hours per week, non-benefited, non-exempt, with pay of $15.60 per hour.

The successful candidate will monitor and facilitate small-group study sessions, promote a positive learning environment, and collaborate with the Center Coordinator to deliver peer tutoring and exam reviews. Requires completion of Anatomy/Physiology I & II and related sciences.

Qualifications

• Completed Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Microbiology or Chemistry courses with a grade of B or higher.

Responsibilities

• Promotes peer study sessions and facilitates exam reviews for basic science courses; organized and adaptable to changes in procedure.
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; follows organizational structure and shows responsibility.
• Accepts directions and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
• Works when scheduled and attends as required; communicates absences per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Gwinnett Technical College.
