This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA-exempt position in the General Education Division that reports to the Program Director of English. Salary: Lump Sum
Doctorate or Master's degree in discipline OR Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in discipline.
In addition to the minimum qualifications, Postsecondary teaching experience.
Prepares and delivers lectures and engaging activities. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general composition and/or literature courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives using essays, other assignments, discussions, and other activities. Grades essays and gives thorough and effective feedback in a timely manner. Maintains an updated and accurate gradebook and other records. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.
