This job is a 19-hour, part-time, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the General Education Division/Life Sciences Department that reports to the Coordinator of Science Labs. This position is based at the Alpharetta and Lawrenceville Campus. Schedule: 19 hours per week.
Assist in supervision and tutoring of students in the Anatomy and Physiology Open Lab. Enforces lab policies while students are in Open Lab. Ability to access GTC emergency operation procedures. Assists Open Lab Coordinator in daily functions within the lab. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Works when scheduled; begins and ends work as expected. Tutors are expected to be available on only two Saturdays during the semester, the Saturday before the lab midterm and the Saturday before the lab final exam, for exam setup. During that week, they will not cover one Open Lab session. Instead, their time will be allocated to the Saturday exam setup to ensure they do not exceed their 19-hour weekly limit.
