Clinical instruction 12-24 hours per week each semester. Oversees a group of students for 8-12 hours in a clinical setting. Grades clinical documentation. Collaborates with course coordinator to ensure that class material coincides with clinical experience. May assist in the lab when not in clinical. May assist with lecture when not in clinical. Faculty evaluates students’ progress in meeting clinical goals and objectives. Completes clinical student evaluations and grades and evaluates all required student assignments. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. All clinical faculty need to follow the protocol for credentialing at affiliated agencies. This position requires pre-employment drug testing and random testing. Follows lesson plans for lab/clinical instruction for credited nursing courses. If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually and complete Pre-employment Drug Screen. In addition, this position is subject to random drug screening.
