Job summary

Laramie County School District #1 is seeking a Multimedia Technician II to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot A/V systems for K–12 environments and district events. The role requires hands-on installation, programming, and coordination with internal teams and vendors to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

The position includes a 260‑day contract, Monday–Friday, 8 hours daily, with pay column W: $28.65/hourly plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of relevant experience; seven preferred.
• Experience with Extron and/or Q-Sys installation and programming.
• CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ preferred; low-voltage certification.
• Ability to achieve Extron Control Professional within six months of hire.
• Ability to achieve CTS within eighteen months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot multimedia systems for instruction and events.
• Prepare, deploy, and retrieve multimedia equipment and materials to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide classroom and presentation support to enable smooth instruction and presentations.
