Job summary

Allentown City School District is seeking an Audio/Video Technical Engineer to install, configure, and maintain district AV equipment in the Administration Center.

The role requires experience as an AV installer, ability to manage multiple installations, operate power tools, and coordinate with IT staff. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package in a busy school district environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation, configuration and maintenance of commercial AV systems.
• Ability to lift and manage AV equipment and run cables.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for district AV events.
• Install and troubleshoot conference room setups and web conferences (Zoom, Teams, Meet).
• Fabricate racks and manage cable terminations.
• Provide customer service during installations and servicing tasks.
• Support IT Network Team as needed.
• Maintain PA systems hardware and software as per district plan.
• Maintain inventory and drawings of AV cabling equipment.
