Job summary

UCLA Health seeks an Assistant Educational Volunteer Coordinator to support UCLA Health Sciences' Clinical Research and Educational Volunteer Program, serving 700+ volunteers and participants across specialized programs. You will coordinate onboarding, compliance tracking, training, and program administration to ensure participants meet institutional requirements and placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years minimum of Business operations and/or administration experience.
• Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proficient knowledge of common computer application programs (MSOffice Suite-Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Solid and proven analytical / problem solving skills.
• Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campus-wide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff both orally and written.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer and student onboarding, compliance tracking, training, and program administration to ensure participants meet institutional requirements and are appropriately placed within the UCLA Health Sciences campus.
• Work with faculty, staff, students, and volunteers to provide guidance on program policies, maintain accurate records, review service assignments, and support ongoing compliance and educational requirements.
• Contribute to development and improvement of program materials, coordinate orientations and recognition events, and serve as a resource for faculty mentors and volunteers.
• Collaborate with the Volunteer Services Team and campus partners to ensure program operations align with institutional policies while supporting a positive volunteer experience.
