Job summary

St. Joseph County ISD seeks a Technology Support Specialist to install, modify, repair, diagnose and research hardware, software and Internet systems that support the educational environment.

You will support Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux, ChromeOS and web apps like GSuite for Education and Microsoft 365. The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork and the ability to travel between sites within the county.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Information Systems or relevant experience.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Strong initiative to keep systems and end users working at peak efficiency.
• Excellent customer service and interaction skills.
• Team player with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Educational environment experience preferred.
• Maintain and obtain required trainings/certifications before expiration.

Responsibilities

• Respond to end-user inquiries and diagnose hardware, software, Internet and end-user issues.
• Enter and update ticketing system entries for issues and repairs.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of district information.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot electronics, devices and networks across districts.
• Assist with Google Admin and Chrome devices management; support Google Classroom.
• Provide end-user training and orientation for new hires; assist with conference room setup.
• Coordinate with IS Team to support county consortium and district policy-based purchases.
• Provide printers and print management support and general end-user assistance.
