Job summary

University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking an Education Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of a complex educational program, including clerkships, medical student, resident and/or fellowship programs.

The role involves overseeing accreditation processes, coordinating site visits, and managing trainee records, schedules, evaluations, and curriculum documentation. Hybrid eligible in a university setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience may substitute education if related to the design, delivery and evaluation of resident, medical student, fellowship or clerkship educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees accreditation site visits and maintains continued accreditation in the program.
• Oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and matching of medical students for residency positions and residents for fellowship positions via the AAMC ERAS platform.
• Develops and implements program-level departmental policies and procedures and manages budgets pertaining to the education program and curriculum.
• Maintains program files and records, trainee information, databases and websites; prepares reports for agencies.
• Schedules required educational activities, grand rounds, lectures, visiting professors, events and related meetings.
• Oversees medical student rotations and monthly call schedules for residents/fellows; ensures completion of evaluations.
• Directs day-to-day operations and may supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Serves as an educational resource for faculty and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
