Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Program Manager-HSOM to administratively manage one or more education programs within the School of Medicine. The role involves designing and administering program content, establishing objectives, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

It supports day-to-day operations for education programs, including student rotations and observerships, and requires independent judgment in graduate medical education considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; three years of related experience required.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
• Familiarity with graduate medical education guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with achievement of objectives set forth by Program Director and Vice Chair of Education.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for students, visitors, and observers.
• Support department initiatives such as Grand Rounds and education programs.
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding of trainees; may involve outside of normal hours.
• Plan events for training programs and department-wide activities; process reimbursements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
