Job summary

Alpha is hiring a full-time Education Program Manager to lead the program that coaches Guides, delivers engaging life-skills workshops, and drives student outcomes across select campuses (Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Greenwich, CT; Washington, DC).

You will coach Guides, develop leaders, and create an environment of excellence with accountability and continuous improvement, while raising the performance of the entire team and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business; Master's preferred.
• At least 5 years in education, coaching, learning and development, or related leadership.
• Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people, including hiring and performance decisions.
• Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements.
• Experience working with children ages 5-14 in educational or coaching settings.
• Experience building or launching a new team, program, campus, or initiative, with willingness to open a new campus from zero.
• Willingness to work in a school model that rejects traditional lecture-based pedagogy.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Guides to deliver exceptional student experiences while upholding high standards.
• Leading life-skills workshops that develop communication, leadership, focus, and real-world skills.
• Motivating students to achieve ambitious learning goals and progress in self-directed programs.
• Using data, observation, and coaching to improve guide performance and student outcomes.
• Help launch and establish new Alpha campuses by building a culture centered on excellence and accountability.
