Job summary

East Side House Settlement in the Bronx seeks a Program Assistant for the Post-Secondary Pathways program. You will provide administrative and data-entry support to the Education Department, assist instructors, and help coordinate GED/ESOL workshops and related testing.

You will manage participant data, prepare weekly and quarterly reports, handle procurement, and assist leadership in process improvements to strengthen program performance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; AA in human services a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations.
  • Microsoft Office and Google Suite proficiency.
  • Experience with outreach in urban communities helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Education Manager and Director.
  • Assist participants with enrollment applications and referrals.
  • Prepare classroom materials for GED/ESOL workshops and related work.
  • Manage participant data in databases and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Coordinate or assist in planning events and outreach activities.
  • Procure supplies and manage inventory for the program.
  • Support staff with pre/post-testing and student progress documentation.
