Job summary

Bay Area Hospital is seeking an Education & Patient Experience Program Manager to develop and coordinate hospital-wide staff education, HealthStream management, CPR/BLS certification, and patient experience initiatives.

Collaborate with leaders across departments to ensure regulatory readiness, clinical competency, and patient- and family-centered care while maintaining accurate records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare education and staff development.
• Experience using HealthStream or a comparable learning management system.
• Experience coordinating hospital-wide education or competency programs.
• Experience with patient experience programs and patient satisfaction data.
• Experience with accreditation, regulatory compliance, healthcare quality programs, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates hospital-wide educational programs.
• Partners with department leaders to identify learning needs and develop education programs.
• Coordinates new-hire, annual, and ongoing education requirements and calendars.
• Maintains education attendance, completion, and competency records; evaluates effectiveness.
• Serves as HealthStream administrator and manages courses, curricula, and compliance assignments.
• Maintains electronic education records and generates reports; communicates outstanding requirements.
• Reviews HealthStream content for currency and relevance; troubleshoots system issues.
• Collaborates with leadership, IT, and HR to optimize learning management processes.
• Coordinates CPR/BLS education and certification programs; maintains records and renewal requirements.
• Partners with clinical leaders to support emergency response education and competency initiatives.
• Coordinates patient experience initiatives and analyzes data to identify improvements.
• Develops patient experience action plans and tracks progress.
• Coordinates education on communication and service excellence; promotes dignity and patient engagement.
• Facilitates patient experience meetings and interdisciplinary workgroups.
• Monitors education and competency requirements related to regulatory standards; maintains compliance documentation.
• Collaborates with Quality, Risk, Infection Prevention and others to address gaps.
• Develops and maintains program policies and improvement strategies.
• Prepares leadership reports and dashboards; manages multiple projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
