Job summary

LeadingAge Virginia is seeking an Education & Membership Coordinator to own the member experience across events, registrations, and communications. You will manage attendee outreach, track attendance, and ensure data accuracy in the AMS.

You’ll develop dashboards, monitor program engagement, and explore technology and AI to streamline processes. This is a hands-on role with ownership and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree or three years of directly relevant experience in place of a degree
• 2–4 years of experience coordinating events, education programs, or membership services in association/nonprofit settings
• Demonstrated ownership of event logistics from planning through onsite execution
• Proficiency with an association management system and CRM, and with an email marketing platform
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Clear, professional writing suitable for member communications
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and travel throughout Virginia
• Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the registration process for educational programs, webinars, and conferences
• Coordinate event logistics: venues, setups, catering, AV, materials, vendor communications
• Serve as primary contact for speakers: scheduling, agreements, materials, day-of coordination
• Produce event materials: signage, badges, packets, evaluations
• Execute onsite at conferences and meetings, manage registration desk
• Administer continuing education credits: track attendance, certificates
• Close out events with evaluation analysis, attendance reporting, and materials distribution
• Maintain membership data accuracy and generate regular reports
• Help develop dashboards and metrics to understand engagement and program performance
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and leverage technology
