Job summary

Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 is seeking an IT Computer/Hardware Technician to support end users district-wide. You will troubleshoot, install, configure, and maintain computers, projectors, printers, and AV equipment while coordinating with principals and administrators.

The role requires hands-on hardware installation, network cabling, and strong customer service. Occasional weekend or after-hours coverage may be needed, with health and district tech support benefits described in the

Qualifications

An IT-related college degree or certification related to IT or similar field preferred.
Experience working in education environment preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good past record of attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to all end users (staff, students, parents & guests).
Respond to emails, phone calls or work orders regarding computers, software, projectors, phones, printers, and other technology problems.
Document work orders, user requests, hardware failures, repairs, and installations in the ticket system.
Install, configure, test, and maintain technology hardware, software and peripherals.
Maintain and track inventory of equipment; install and change network cabling as needed.
Install and maintain interactive white boards, TVs, projectors, document cameras, sound systems, and AV equipment.
Work with staff and administrators to implement technologies effectively.
Occasionally work weekends, evenings, or early mornings to cover events.
