Job summary

Lakes International Language Academy (LILA) in Minnesota is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to provide Tier 1 helpdesk support for on-site and remote staff, students and families. You will maintain devices, deploy OS updates, and assist in implementing new technology across district facilities.

The role requires an associate degree in IT or equivalent work experience, knowledge of Google Workspace, and strong cybersecurity and network troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree in IT or 2+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Desired: CompTIA A+ or other IT certification.
• Pass a background check.
• Experience with Google Workspace Administration.
• Helpdesk support in macOS, iOS, ChromeOS, Windows.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Network configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 helpdesk support on-site and remote staff, students, and families.
• Maintain equipment by deploying OS upgrades and patches.
• Assist in the implementation of new technology and information systems.
• Assist in district assessment setup and troubleshooting.
• Support technology infrastructure: LAN, WLAN, Security, Data Storage, Video Systems, Access Control.
• Assist in asset tracking and inventory control.
• Work with limited supervision and manage time effectively.
• Communicate with non-technical as well as technical personnel.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes and multiple site needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Maintain high attention to detail.
