Job summary

Mashpee Public Schools District Wide seeks a Technology Security and Support Specialist to assist the IT Director in maintaining secure, reliable information systems across the district’s schools. The role involves 24x7 availability, server and network stability, and end-user support in a multi-location environment.

The position requires an associate degree in IT, 5+ years of network management experience, and strong knowledge of Windows, AD, Google Workspace, and TCP/IP networking.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in information technology or related field.
• Minimum five years of experience managing network systems; school networks preferred.
• Experience with network security, access controls, cryptography, monitoring and analysis.
• Certifications in relevant systems/networking desirable.
• Possess ability to prioritize work, provide courteous service, and maintain professional office protocols.
• Must have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license (Class D) and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains server stability and network connectivity.
• Develops and maintains cohesive IT infrastructure for applications.
• Installs and upgrades system applications and backups.
• Monitors VMware hosts, performance, licenses and configurations.
• Configures and maintains Mashpee domain and endpoints.
• Trains users and orients new employees to systems.
• Expands infrastructure capacity with Director of Network Technology.
• Performs other duties as required.
