Job summary

SAU 29 in Keene, NH is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department for about 1,000 employees, retirees, board members, and volunteers. You will oversee recruitment, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and compliance, and provide leadership reports to drive decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in HR or related field; a Master’s is preferred, with 3+ years HR experience including supervisory roles. SHRM-CP/PHR are desired with ongoing certification plans.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in HR/Business/Public Administration; Master's preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in HR, with at least 2 years in supervising roles.
• Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, or pHCLE desired; plan to obtain within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and evaluate the HR operations and staff.
• Oversee recruitment, HRIS, compensation, benefits and compliance functions.
• Provide reliable reporting and develop executive competencies toward the Director role.
