Job summary

SAU 29 in Keene, NH is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead the HR department for about 1,000 employees, retirees, board members, and volunteers. You will oversee recruitment, HRIS, compensation, benefits, and compliance, and provide leadership reports to drive decisions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in HR or related field; a Master’s is preferred, with 3+ years HR experience including supervisory roles. SHRM-CP/PHR are desired with ongoing certification plans.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Human Resources Manager, to support approximately 1,000 employees, retirees, board members, and volunteers, all committed to our mission of educating the next generation. The Manager of Human Resources position is established to supervise, direct, and evaluate the operations and staff of the Human Resources Department; to oversee the district's recruitment, all Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), compensation, benefits, and compliance functions; and to provide reliable reporting and recommendations to leadership while developing executive competencies for progression toward the Director role.

Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a direct supervisory capacity. K-12 public education experience is helpful, but not required.
• Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, or pHCLE desired upon hire, with an expectation to have completed at least one within three (3) years. Further pursuit of advanced executive certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or sHCLE) anticipated as part of the leadership career path.

Salary Range is $90,000-$113,750 based on experience.
