A hospital system in Southern New Hampshire is looking to hire an HR Business Partner on a permanent basis. The person in this role will directly support multiple business units comprised of approximately 800-1,000 total employees.
The key focus of this role will be handling high volume employee relations and performance management issues within the assigned business units.
This is a hybrid position that will require on-site work in Manchester, NH at least 3 days per week. Local candidates only please.
Responsibilities
- Provides HR consultation and support to designated client base using knowledge of various human resource functions, including staffing, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations to provide tactical HR support to managers.
- Counsels' employees and management regarding employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations to bring issue to a reasonable resolution that is consistent with sound employee relations practices and employment law.
- Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on client base restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Ensures that the formal disciplinary action process is followed using the appropriate HR policies and guidelines and that actions are communicated appropriately, and the rights of all participants are observed.
- Coordinates all activities related to termination of employment including documentation, wage payout, benefit information, security, and all legal requirements. Is present with manager during actual release of employee as needed. May represent hospital at unemployment claims hearings.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience handling high volume employee relations work
- Experience supporting workforce of 750 employees or more
- Hospital/healthcare experience preferred (not required)
