Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of King County is seeking an Education Director to lead the Education Department, ensure high-quality programming, and supervise staff and volunteers. The role partners with the Program Director to meet programming goals and benchmarks, while delivering an outcome-driven Club experience for youth and families.

The position requires 1–2 years of leadership, a high school diploma, and knowledge of nonprofit youth development.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years leadership experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Experience hiring, training and supervising staff.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge/experience with nonprofit youth development; BG Club experience preferred.
• Youth development principles expertise; ability to motivate youth positively.
• Ability to learn and implement new ideas for the good of the Club.
• WAC requirements for Assistant Director for licensed sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assure an Outcome-Driven Club Experience for youth and families.
• Ensure program activities reflect Club philosophies and YPQA.
• Coordinate and oversee educational programs across multiple entities.
• Hire, train, oversee and develop staff and volunteers.
• Oversee Learning Center and Computer Lab operations and staffing.
• Facilitate program reporting and evaluations for internal/external parties.
• Manage data, finance, personnel files, and background checks.
• Monitor education budget and scholarship distribution.
• Support site operations and parent/teacher relationships.
