BVCAP Head Start is seeking a Mentor/Education Coach to support school readiness by observing, modeling, coaching, and mentoring education staff across Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration, use of CLASS and other tools, and developing intervention strategies to promote child learning and family engagement. A Bachelor’s in ECE and 2+ years teaching is required; bilingual preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field; related work experience or education.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least two (2) years teaching experience with increasing levels of responsibility and demonstrated lead teacher traits.
• Experience mentoring/training early childhood practitioners preferred.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Mentor and train education staff to support school readiness and program quality.
• Conduct classroom observations; provide feedback to improve teacher-child interactions and curriculum implementation.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to educators to improve instructional practices and classroom quality.
• Perform regular classroom observations using CLASS and other approved tools.
• Collaborate with Education/Disabilities Specialist on planning and monitoring education services.
• Ensure interactions are responsive, developmentally appropriate, and support children's learning across domains.
