Job summary

Easterseals Southern California seeks a practice-based coach for Head Start/ Early Head Start staff to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness. You will observe, model, give feedback, and mentor teaching staff toward stronger outcomes for children.

The role requires a Bachelor's in ECE, a Master Teacher permit, infant/toddler coursework with strong prerequisites, CPR/First Aid, and food handler certs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Must hold and maintain a Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or Higher).
• Infant/Toddler coursework with B or better grade.
• Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate and food handler certificate.
• 3–5 years experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool children.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and technical assistance to teaching staff and Center Directors.
• Develop and update procedures for curriculum implementation and child assessment.
• Analyze CLASS data and support staff development to improve teaching practices.
• Collaborate to establish program goals in Early Childhood Education and School Readiness.
• Monitor developmentally appropriate approaches and document progress.
• Design and deliver staff trainings for continuous improvement.
