Job summary

Easterseals Southern California, Inc. seeks a practice-based coach to support Head Start and Early Head Start teachers, home visitors, and family child care providers.

You will model best practices, conduct observations, and analyze CLASS data to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness. The educator must have a Bachelor’s in ECE or related field, a California Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or higher), infant/toddler units, CPR/First Aid, and food handler’s certificate,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field required.
• Must possess and maintain a Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or Higher).
• Infant/Toddler coursework 3–6 units from accredited college.
• Must possess pediatric CPR/First Aid certificate.
• Must possess food handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provides coaching and mentoring for teaching staff to improve teacher-child interactions and school readiness.
• Conducts observations and analyzes data to support program goals.
• Designs and delivers staff trainings to improve practice based on evidence.
• Collaborates with managers and field staff on program goals and continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with state/Head Start policies and conducts training coordination.
