Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Education Cloud Architect to act as a customer-facing domain advisor, applying broad technical skills with deep industry knowledge to support sales in higher education digital transformation and cloud adoption.

You will partner with account executives and solution engineers to craft compelling value propositions, develop architectures, and guide opportunities from discovery to execution, with travel required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce solutions and the Salesforce Platform.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in enterprise software implementation, system integration or enterprise architecture.
• Understanding of cloud-based architectures (SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy).
• Knowledge of security practices in multi-tier cloud apps.
• Familiarity with EA topics: SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL, BPM, data management.

Responsibilities

• Partner with account executives and solution engineers to progress opportunities; travel ~25%.
• Define customer-driven architectures using Salesforce technologies; develop architecture diagrams and roadmaps.
• Lead discussions on business and technical transformation with broad IT expertise.
• Support sales with RFP responses and technical documents.
• Deliver best practices and reference architectures at events; collaborate with product and industry groups.
• Stay current with required product training and certifications.
• Lead technical due diligence and risk management for engagements.
• Meet quarterly and annual performance objectives.
