Job summary

CGS is seeking an eDiscovery Technician to join our legal team supporting a large Federal agency in New York. The role involves logging productions, evaluating letters for Relativity loading, and coordinating password retrieval and virus scans.

You will ensure data completeness, follow document handling protocols, and assist with off-site scanning when needed. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in eDiscovery, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), U.S.

Qualifications

• Three years of eDiscovery technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree; three years of additional relevant work experience may substitute for the degree.
• Knowledge of information resources.
• Excellent analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple tasks.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Log the production in the Agency's eDiscovery Tracking System.
• Digest the cover letter and provide a brief description of the production.
• Coordinate password retrieval if encrypted media is password-protected.
• Assess cover letters for loading into Relativity.
• Virus-scan the production off-network with multiple protection tools.
• Follow protocol to address issues or reject productions.
• Copy clean productions to the Agency's network.
• Handle documents per protocol (whistleblower, RFPA, MOUs, international, BSA, transcripts, laptops, paper).
• Analyze productions to determine processing type and protocol.
• Verify data completeness and load-readiness; escalate incomplete items.
• Monitor for incoming productions via email and FTP site.
• OCR small paper documents for loading into Relativity.
• Coordinate off-site scanning for multi-box paper productions.
