Job summary

Meta seeks a Network Engineer to join Site Services and ENS Capacity & Network. You will deploy and support network infrastructure across data centers and campuses, including cabling, fiber, switching, and routing, working with design and cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and improve operations.

You will analyze fault trends, maintain runbooks, and partner with automation teams to reduce manual tasks while guiding vendors and technicians to standards. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and external vendors to execute deployments, changes, or incident resolution at scale.
• 2+ years deploying, operating, or supporting large-scale network infrastructure (structured cabling, fiber, IP networking) in data centers or campuses.
• Experience analyzing datasets or metrics to identify trends and drive data-driven decisions in network operations.
• Experience troubleshooting and root-causing network incidents across physical, data link, and network layers in enterprise environments.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with network hardware platforms and physical layer infrastructure (switches, routers, fiber/copper test equipment, installation tooling).

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and integration of network infrastructure across site portfolio (cabling, fiber, switching, routing) in data centers and campuses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, MSPs, and vendors to investigate and resolve complex network incidents.
• Identify opportunities to improve deployment workflows, change management, and support procedures for efficiency and reliability.
• Provide field-level feedback to inform future infrastructure designs and cabling standards.
• Analyze fault trends, deployment metrics, and vendor performance to drive corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate network asset records, runbooks, and documentation for auditable site operations.
• Collaborate with automation teams to reduce manual tasks and implement lightweight solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to vendors and field technicians per network standards.
• Communicate project status and incident outcomes to stakeholders across teams.
• Domestic and international travel may be required up to 25%.
