Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to support field services in the ENS team. You will oversee global incidents, drive automation and process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale network operations across data centers and edge services.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in large-scale network ops, experience with optical/WDM gear, and strong vendor engagement. This role includes international travel and a strategic focus on reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years operating, deploying, and designing large-scale network/infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with optical/network gear and WDM equipment.
4+ years of network operations experience in large-scale networks.
Strong communication with vendors and service providers.
Experience guiding external vendors and designing infrastructure.
Subject matter expertise in Network Services, topology, and architectures.
Experience with terrestrial optical transport networks and structured cabling.

Responsibilities

Incident Response across global infra during major events with cross-functional teams.
Change Management to improve tools, processes, and policies at scale.
Drive operational efficiency and manage a large workforce delivering projects.
Set team goals and align cross-functional roadmaps and programs.
Design and implement processes to identify and manage data and asset risks.

Define metrics and monitor fault trends, capacity, and vendor performance.
