Job summary

HP, Inc. is seeking a senior competitive intelligence leader to guide Strategy Projects for HP Personal Systems. You will lead a four-analyst team, maintain live intelligence on the PC competitor portfolio and the AI ecosystem, and brief senior management on strategic implications.

You will build an intelligence engine with data pipelines, run scenario planning, and provide early warnings on emerging players, translating signals into actionable business risk insights for the SVP and PS president.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in competitive intelligence, corporate or competitive strategy, equity research, management consulting, or product/market strategy — ideally touching technology hardware, semiconductors, or software
• Strong knowledge of AI landscape across software and hardware models, on-device/edge AI, NPUs and accelerators, and the AI PC ecosystem
• Financial and analytical fluency: read earnings calls and 10-Qs, understand unit economics, margins, and mix
• Exceptional communication—verbal above all—and ability to distill complex signals for senior executives
• Strategic mindset: connect signals to concrete business risk and opportunities
• Demonstrated people leadership: manage and develop analysts, set direction, raise team bar
• Executive presence and credibility with cross-functional stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a four-analyst team; set research agenda, quality bar, and cadence
• Run continuous competitor intelligence on PC portfolio and AI ecosystem across software and hardware
• Synthesize findings into concise, decision-ready insights for division strategy teams and senior leaders
• Lead scenario planning and war-gaming to model competitor responses and pre-emptive HP posture
• Develop an emerging-threat radar and early warning on startups and new entrants
• Build an AI-augmented intelligence engine with data pipelines and knowledge base
• Brief SVP and PS president regularly with clear, action-oriented recommendations
