Job summary

HP is seeking a Senior Strategy Director within the Personal Systems Strategy and Planning team in Palo Alto. The role leads AI strategy, competitive intelligence, and portfolio prioritization to accelerate growth and drive executive decision-making.

Ideal candidate brings 15+ years of senior leadership in strategy or consulting, with strong executive communication, influence, and external-ecosystem engagement. MBA preferred; high-impact, matrixed environment experience expected.

Qualifications

15+ years of job-related leadership experience
Experience advising or influencing senior executives in a global, matrixed technology organization
Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from problem framing through recommendation, execution planning and follow-through
Experience with AI, PCs, devices, software, services, productivity tools, platforms or ecosystem strategy strongly preferred
Track record building repeatable strategy assets, operating rhythms and governance
Experience engaging external innovation ecosystems (VCs, startups, AI funds, incubators, partners)

Responsibilities

Lead long-range strategy and competitive intelligence efforts for HP Personal Systems
Shape the AI viewpoint and translate insights into strategic actions
Translate strategy into portfolio and product priorities and resource allocation
Develop executive narratives for internal and investor communications
Build scalable strategy frameworks and enable AI-enabled decision support
Maintain relationships with VC, startups and AI ecosystem partners
Advise executives on opportunities, risks and ROI across the portfolio
