Job summary

Overlake Medical Center seeks an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) for the Bellevue Campus ED. The ED Tech delivers direct patient care under RN supervision, supports family members, and may perform point-of-care testing and blood draws per protocol.

Position is part-time (.6 FTE) with 8-hour shifts (3 pm - 11 pm), evenings. Prior healthcare experience and WA licensure options are outlined in the qualifications. Overlake offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active licensure required at hire: WA NA-C or WA NA-R
• MA-P (Phlebotomist) required or obtained within 90 days
• BLS for Health Care Providers required
• Minimum 1 year recent healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred
• Computer familiarity preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform waived and moderately complex point-of-care testing per protocol.
• Collect blood samples and transport specimens for testing.
• Maintain patient safety and quality activities per hospital procedures.
