Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Register emergency service patients in a fast-paced environment and create patient accounts.
• Query EAD and enter accurate patient demographics to obtain correct MRN and account number.
• Place patient identification armbands and document demographics into the system.
• Obtain physician orders for observation or admission status when needed.
• Perform insurance eligibility/benefit verification and document in the system.
• Inform patients of liabilities and collect co-pays, co-insurances, deductibles, and deposits at discharge.
• Provide timely coverage of the work area to assist clinical partners.
