The Registration Coordinator is responsible for registration of patients, verification of insurance benefits, pre certifications and verification of demographic information. Responsibilities will also include payment collection and posting, and financial assistance applications as needed.
This position isdeemed*essential *. Essential staff are expected to report to work during inclement weather.
Bilingual skills preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Able to work weekends, holidays and shift rotations as needed.
The following, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:
Education/formal training/licenser/certification/experience:
High school graduate (or equivalent). Understanding of medical terminology. Twoyears’ experiencein a medical related field preferred.
Additional Skills:
Strong verbal communication skills. Effectivelyableto manage multiple tasks in an organizedmanner. Must be able to type 35wpm and be computer literate. The candidate/employee must be committedto excellent customer service when dealing with all types of patients, internal and external.
